Thank you United Women for their generous donation of over 25,000 menstrual products to Detroit Period Project! These products were donated to Dearborn Public Schools, Detroit Public Schools and Wayne State’s Universities W-Pantry.
Detroit Period Project
We are a student run community organization that collects and distributes period products in the Metro-Detroit community. We aim to educate on periods and help everyone get the products they need and deserve.
We do this by hosting and partnering with other organizations to offer educational events, product drives, and packaging events. These products are then distributed to schools, shelters, and non-profits.
As an organization we have been able to donate tens of thousands of products in Metro-Detroit and in 2021 led an effort to provide free menstrual products in Wayne States campus restrooms.
We are always looking for new organizations and individuals to donate to and partner with who support our mission!
